The celebrations began late last year when Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Ed Byrne AO, together with Professor Bryan Horrigan, Dean, Faculty of Law and Ms Jane Hodder, Chair, Monash Law School Foundation welcomed distinguished guests and alumni to a cocktail reception to officially launch the 50th Anniversary Celebrations of the Faculty of Law in 2014.
A very pleasant evening ensued at the Vice-Chancellor's Residence where alumni, Foundation members and staff mingled and reminisced about the history of the Faculty and shared stories of their experiences. The reception also raised awareness of the current Law School Foundation initiatives which are aimed at enhancing student welfare and access, learning and development opportunities.
All guests were encouraged to join in the celebrations this year with several key note events already planned.

The launch of the Monash Law Faculty history book will also take place at this Gala Dinner.
We encourage you to start organising a table with others from your graduating cohort and keep an eye on our 50th Anniversary events website for online booking details and opening dates for our booking system.
This event will be our keynote 50th anniversary year celebration - a perfect opportunity to reunite with old friends and celebrate in style. Numbers are limited so make sure not to miss out!
