The Opportunity

Built on the innovative spirit of the 1960s, the Monash Law Faculty this year celebrates fifty years of teaching law. We are consistently recognised as one of the top twenty Law schools globally (through the QS World Rankings). Our excellence in research, teaching and scholarship has been at the forefront of legal education for decades in Australia and we pride ourselves, on offering real, tangible legal experience, international study opportunities and equipping our students with an extensive legal education.

We offer a broad teaching base, with course offerings at every level. Our dedicated Monash University Law Chambers situated in the Melbourne Legal district complements our Clayton base and legal clinics in Oakleigh and Springvale. We also have an international presence in Prato Italy and Malaysia where we offer dedicated law units to our own students as well as students from other universities.

Our vibrant research culture is supported by a Commerical Law Group and three dedicated research centres: the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law, the Australian Centre for Justice Innovation and the Centre for Regulatory Studies.  We produce influential research that is doctrinal, theoretical, policy-orientated, and global and comparative in its outlook. We collaborate with world leaders in law research and education throughout Australia and internationally and have demonstrated top tier research intensive performance. Our staff are involved in ARC discovery grants and CRC projects and include an ARC Future Fellow.

We are seeking to appoint high achieving law academics at the levels of Lecturer (Level B), Senior Lecturer (Level C) and Associate Professor (Level D) to join our expanding team.
